SHBBA Events

• The SHBBA holds regular monthly meetings at the business infosource Centre, formerly known as the Canada-Saskatchewan Business Centre, 345 - 3^rd Avenue South, Saskatoon.
• Except on statutory holidays and during July and August, meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month.
• Meetings commence at 7:00 pm.
• Who should attend SHBBA meetings?
  Whether you currently operate a home-based business or are contemplating starting one, attend meetings for valuable information, support and networking.
• All members as well as non-members are welcome at SHBBA meetings.  You do not have to be a SHBBA member to attend these regular meetings.

What takes place at SHBBA meetings?

Member-to-member door prizes, Member-to-member speakers, guest speakers, networking sessions, and a business meeting.

Members, guests and new members are welcome. Refreshments are available for a $2.00 nominal fee to help cover costs.

The Coming Decade: Demographic Trends and Implications

Come hear Rosemary Venne, Associate Professor,
Dept. of Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour, Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan, speak on this topic that is of great importance topic to home-based businesses.

Professor Venne received a Masters degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Industrial Relations, both from Queen's University. She then completed her PhD from the Centre for Industrial Relations at the University of Toronto and joined the faculty in the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan in 1992.

Her research interests include demography as it relates to changes in the labour force, career patterns and human resource management. Other interests are changes in work-time scheduling including alternative work-time arrangements. Professor Venne is co-author with David Foot of several demography papers, including,
"The Long Goodbye: Age, Demographics and Flexibility in Retirement"
