"Mock Auction"
Hello Members, due to a very poor attendance, we are going
to have the "Mock Auction" on February 2, 2010.
Please put this date on your calendars! We'd love to hear
about your holidays and how your business is doing.
Come and sell your business for a cool million! Just kidding
of course. It's the annual "Mock Auction", where SHBBA
members get a few minutes to "auction" off their business'
services to fellow members, with play-money burning a hole
in their pockets. It's a fun evening - and great marketing
exercise.
See you there,
Charlene Stushnoff, Business Owner
SHBBA Secretary

Jim Seip, Life Line Insurance
(The Mall at Lawson Heights, (306) 934-6060) spoke on
Important insurance items:
-
Insuring to value. If you
don't insure to value there may be penalties involved at
the time of the loss. You are signing an insurance
contract.
-
Get to know and trust your
broker. He/she is the expert in insurance. You are buying
his service and knowledge. Trust his/her judgment.
-
Liability insurance. Could be
more important than insuring 'bricks and mortar'. A lawsuit will
affect you for the rest of your life.
-
Bonding versus insurance. Bonding
is often misunderstood and used for a marketing tool by some
businesses.
